The alien and UFO case of Inácio de Souza in the city of Crixás, Brazil

Unfortunately, not only the curious and strange things live in ufology. There are situations that are also incredible with direct conflicts. But this case illustrates a rare episode of violence between humans and aliens.

The event occurred on the day of August 13, 1967, in the city of Crixás, of the state of Goiás (Brazil) involving the foreman Inácio de Souza and his wife.

On the occasion, Inácio de Souza returned to his house in the hacienda Santa Maria, in the city of Crixás, at about 16:00 hours (4:00 pm). Upon arrival, he was affectionately received by his wife outside their home. Both had not noticed anything unusual until they looked toward the pasture near the house, which was cut like an airplane landing strip. At the end of the runway, there was a strange object described by Inácio as an inverted bowl. But at first, Inácio and his wife really did not pay much attention to it. The fact is that the owner of the farm, Mr. Ibiracy de Moraes, was a very rich farmer and could be testing a new type of vehicle for the Brazilian army. If it were the case, it would not be the first time, since Mr. Ibiracy de Moraes already held the presidency of the Bank of Brazil. But the couple soon realized that something strange was happening.

Since they were within a reasonable distance, the couple realized that there were "three kids" apparently naked walking around the object. That angered Inácio who considered such behavior as an affront to his wife. Inácio started walking directly towards these "kids". But when he approached a little closer, he got frightened. They were not naked, but dressed in a one-piece yellow suit clung to the body. All were bald and had a very strange appearance.

Just at that moment, the creatures also saw the couple and one of them pointed to Inácio and his wife. Immediately, the three beings began running straight towards them, which led them to perceive that they would be harmed.

Almost as a reflexive action motivated by terror, Inácio took his riflewhich he always carried on the shoulder, and positioned himself to shoot, aiming directly at the head of one of the creatures. Then he asked his wife to run into the house and lock the door. Inácio shoots and hits the head of one of the beings who, in his estimation, should be a little more than 60 meters away. Inácio was known in the region to be an expert sniper. He could score a direct hit with extreme precision at a distance of up to one hundred meters. Even the owner of the farm, Mr. Ibiracy de Moraes stated that Inácio could hit a dove in mid-flight from several tens of meters away.

At the moment Inácio shot, the being dropped to the ground. Immediately after that, the UFO fired a beam of green light striking him on his left shoulder. Inácio immediately lost consciousness.

Driven to despair after seeing her husband lying on the ground, Inácio's wife, who was looking out the kitchen window, ran out of the house to her fainted husband. She pulled out a gun and placed herself in front of Inácio, to protect him. Immediately she pointed the weapon in the direction of the aliens. However, the aliens had stopped, picked up the one that Inácio had shot and then carried him into the disc. Shortly thereafter, the disc began to emit a loud humming sound and slowly gained altitude vertically.

Inácio was rushed to the hospital. Then he began having nausea, tingling sensation and numbness throughout the body. His hands were always shaking. Unfortunately, on October 11, 1967, about 59 days after the incident, Inácio died. He was 41 years old and the father of five children. On the left shoulder, where he was struck, was a type of blotch. This blotch evolved over time and spread to his left arm and neck. On the death certificate, the doctor put the cause of death was leukemia. Is it possible that the green beam fired by the aliens caused the leukemia? On recommendation of Inácio when alive, his wife burned all his belongings after his death, including the mattress where they slept.

Conclusion:

It is interesting to note that in this case there was a clear situation of confrontation. However, it is difficult to conclude that they were actually hostile aliens. It is evident that the beam that struck Inácio in the shoulder may have been an immediate response to Inácio’s hostile behavior when he, at the first moment, shot one of the creatures. If on one hand is complicated to try to analyze the behavior of the aliens, on the other hand, we have an easily detectable human trait: our xenophobia.

In a quick analogy, the first contacts of the Villas Boas brothers with the Xavante Indians in the Amazon jungle were dramatic and violent since those Indians attacked their plane - a UFO to them - with arrows, as it was photographed and documented at the time. We realize that man already is more or less civilized, but sadly has an innate tendency to attack the unknown, because he fears anything that he doesn’t understand. No wonder films like "Signs", "Independence Day" and "Alien" etc., blockbuster movies, which generate lots of ticket sales, also stimulate our basic emotion of fear of the unknown triggering a confrontation with the phenomenon.

The aggressive situation of the Crixás case also leads us to another observation: the aliens seem not to hesitate in responding with a fierce aggression when attacked. Most of the cases show that the UFO phenomenon is difficult to understand, avoiding friendly contact between us.

Lajas

Although there have been many unexplained sightings in the town of Lajas, the situation there has been hyped by the amount of lies and exaggeration by a group of so-called, "ufologists" who ignore other areas of Puerto Rico to promote tourism in Lajas. That was evident when my wife and my daughter confronted a terrifying experience in the town of Aguada with extraterrestrials and that group of charlatans refused our plea for help. Of course, if it happened in Lajas they would have jumped on the opportunity for fame and tourism for that town. Those hoaxes and lies were approved and sanctioned by the then mayor of that town who named route 303 "The extraterrestrial route". The idea of building an "UFOport" (ovnipuerto), “la llorona sightings" and the biggest hoax of them all, "that a UFO crashed there" all this could only be found in a science fiction novel.

The dancing alien

The back of United States Quarters depicting Puerto Rico

About me

Ufologist, criminal investigator, musician, artist and writer.

I worked 20 years for the New York City Department of Correction. First as a Correction Officer for 4 years, Captain for 12 years, and as a Deputy Warden for 4 years. As a law enforcement officer and supervisor, I have conducted countless of criminal investigations, some for unimaginable allegations.

On June of 2005, after my retirement, I moved to Puerto Rico with my family where my wife and my daughter faced extraordinary experiences with extraterrestrials. These alien encounters, subsequent abductions of my wife and the lack of help from so-called, "ufologists" here on the island, prompted me to become involved in the field of ufology and in the need to help others who have had similar experiences.
